What We Do

OUR CAPABILITIES

XCOM Space is currently developing capabilities across the following domains.

Space Cyber Security

Developing secure architectures and threat models for satellite and space-dependent systems, with a focus on improving resilience against emerging cyber threats.

Cyber Range Simulation

Designing simulation environments to model cyber attacks against space systems and evaluate defensive strategies.

Space Threat Intelligence

Building space-focused cyber threat intelligence approaches to better understand adversary behaviour targeting orbital and ground infrastructure.

Research and Development

Conducting applied research at the intersection of space systems and cybersecurity, with a focus on deception, detection, and mission assurance.

Security Strategy Development

Developing strategic approaches to improve the security posture of systems reliant on satellite services.

Mission Security Design

Developing mission-aware security architecture concepts for space systems, incorporating defence-in-depth principles and resilience against adversarial activity.

Who We Are

DEFENDING
THE COSMOS

XCOM SPACE was built to solve a problem the space industry can no longer ignore: the growing threat to the systems that the world depends on. We are an Australian research and technology organisation specialising in cyber security and resilience for space, GNSS satellite and space-enabled systems.

From adversary modelling to mission-aware security design, XCOM Space operates at the intersection of space operations and cyber defence, focused on developing the intelligence and capabilities required to protect critical space infrastructure.

Founded by certified industry space and security professionals
Australian-based research and technology organisation
Specialising in space, GNSS satellite and space-enabled cyber security
Built on experience across government, industry and academia
Active research programs: HADES, AEGIS, Defenders, SpaceGuardian

OUR APPROACH

HOW WE ENGAGE

A structured, mission-aware approach to assessing and improving the resilience of space-dependent systems.

01

Risk & Dependency Assessment

We identify how the systems rely on GNSS and space-based services, mapping critical dependencies and potential points of failure.

02

Threat & Scenario Analysis

We assess realistic threat scenarios to understand how disruptions could impact your operations.

03

Risk Evaluation & Prioritisation

We evaluate identified risks and prioritise them based on operational impact and likelihood.

04

System & Architecture Review

We review system design across ground, link, and space dependencies to identify resilience gaps and single points of failure.

05

Mitigation Strategy Development

We provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve resilience, including detection, fallback, and recovery strategies.

06

Executive Reporting & Roadmap

We deliver a structured report outlining key risks, impacts, and a prioritised roadmap for improving system resilience.

QRNav

QRNav uses low-cost roadside QR markers as surveyed visual reference points. A vehicle camera reads a marker, verifies its identity and location, and compares the result with the current GNSS PVT solution. The system does not replace GNSS and does not provide continuous positioning between markers; it provides independent checkpoints that improve trust and resilience in selected urban locations.
