Arnold ChanGAICD
Arnold Chan is the Founder and Director of XCOM Space, where he focuses on strengthening the cybersecurity and resilience of space systems and mission-critical technologies. With more than 20 years of experience across cybersecurity, technology, government, commercial and not-for-profit environments, Arnold brings together technical security expertise, strategic risk thinking and governance experience. Arnold brings together hands-on technical expertise, strategic risk thinking and a strong interest in the rapidly evolving security challenges of the space domain.
He is an endorsed IRAP Assessor, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), holds a Master of Cybersecurity and a Graduate Certificate in Space Studies. Arnold is also active in applied space cybersecurity research, including work across cyber threat intelligence, adversary detection, satellite & ground-segment security, and GNSS/PNT resilience. He has undertaken specialist international training in satellite navigation and GNSS through the ESA/JRC International Summer School on GNSS.
Through XCOM Space, Arnold's goal is simple: help make space systems harder to compromise, more resilient when attacked, and better prepared for the threats of tomorrow.
